Industrial gift to MESA Lab for biogas POC project
On October 16 Thur, 2025, Gotion Inc. gave MESA Lab 2 sets of ESS units for energy storage (battery wall) for our proof of concept (POC) grant on using unpurified methane and RotaPower engine to generate electricity as a means for methane mitigation, a part of closed-loop vision for CMERI (Center for Methane Emission Research and Innovation). This gift will not only speed up our project but also reduce the project cost. In particular we have discussed possible future internships, job opportunities for our UC Merced students as well as future R&D joint efforts.
