MESA Lab Welcomes Three New Visiting Scholars

October 5, 2014

MESA Lab Welcomes Three New Visiting Scholars.

Professor. Dr. Jianxin Liu is a full professor of School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Xihua University, China. He got his Ph.D. in Chongqing University, P. R. China, December 1997. His research covers measurement-control theory and its applications to various mechatronic systems. Right now in MESA Lab, he is looking to MPPT control of PEMFC systems as well as compensation of mechanical nonlinearityes with memories (such as hysteresis and backlashe etc.), both with a potential of applying fractional calculus. He will be with MESA Lab from Sept. 2014-Sept. 2015. He can be reached by email: jianxin2013liu@gmail.com.

Professor, Dr. Liyan Qiao has been a full professor of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) since 2009. He earned his Ph.D. from Harbin Institute of Technology on Instrumentation Science and Technology in 2005. His interests are in embedded systems, auto-test system, virtual instrumentation, optimization, signal proceesing and pattern recognition. At MESA Lab, Prof. Qiao will focus on optimal measurement problems in distributed systems with potential applications in plume tracking and source seeking. He will be with MESA Lab from Sept. 2014-Sept. 2015. He can be reached by email: qiaoliyan@hit.edu.cn

Mr. Fudong Ge is now a Ph.D. student at Math Dept. of Donghua University under Prof. Chunhai Kou. He will be with MESA LAB from Oc.t 2014 to Oct. 2015. His research interests are in "Basic theory of fractional calculus, Stability theory of fractional differential systems, Functional differential equation, Ordinary differential equation and some basic theory of Control". We expect he will strengthen our DRONEMATH research program with emphasis on optimal measurement and fractional order control of (possibly fractional oder) PDE dynamic systems. He can be reached by email gefd2011@126.com.

Welcome!
